This hidden gem of a hotel is a great place to stay in Easter Island. The price is incredibly fair and the best thing about the hotel was Marcelo and his hospitality by far! He emailed us back promptly and politely and was able to write to us in English when we needed some translation. He met us at the airport and showed us around the town as an orientation which was helpful. He also answered any questions that we had, gave us advice about what to see or do and was available and friendly whenever we needed him. We stayed with our two young kids (ages 3 and 5) and had a great time getting to know his family and enjoying the \"Island Life!\" It was a great experience for us and our kids and it was made better by staying in such a centrally located and comfortable hotel! I would definitely recommend this hotel and would absolutely go back should we be lucky enough to have another trip to the Island! Thanks Marcelo and family! :)
Loved the hotel, loved the service, loved the island. The hotel is just half a block away from the main street and 3 blocks away from the beach, the Tapati Festival, everything. Marcelo ys a great host!!! He even planned my surprise wedding!! We had lots of fun with him at the Tapati, loved his dogs and his family. They will make you feel like home. He gave us great tips to get to know the island as we had rented a car and were doing it on our own and he even recommended us to watch the sun rise at Tongariki (greatest experience of my life...besides my wedding)..he prepared a cooler with our breakfast and had everything ready at 6am before we left. Do not stay anywhere else!!! Loved it! Thank you Marcelo and Sonia for a great stay.

Delightful stay in this family run inn in the heart of the village so you can walk everywhere. 2 blocks fo 4 roooms each facing each other with the breakfast/lounge area in between. clean rooms; good breakfast; nice staff. owner also hires himself out as tour guide and has a wealth of folklore to share. Highly recommend this gem!
